What is TEDx?

What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxLeicester, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxLeicester event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussions and connections in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.

TEDx Leicester

TEDxLeicester is an entirely not-for-profit and volunteer-led initiative, organised by local people with a passion for sharing great ideas and what the TEDx movement can do to help drive and sustain improvements for people and places.

TEDx licences are issued to organisers of events in towns and cities around the world; like TEDxLeicester, all of them must be not-for-profit to comply with TEDx rules and regulations.
